Last year,Tamil Nadu topper anitha committed suicide. But as per my perception it's a failure of education policy makers and both centre and state government. In our country education syllabus was not similar even after that neet was initially proposed to take place from 2012 because of insimilarity in syllabus approx 115 petition filled in supreme Court and in July 2013 supreme Court gave verdict in favour of petitioner. Also with these petitioners some states opposed this pattern strongly stating there was a huge difference in syllabus proposed by medical council of India and their state syllabi. After the verdict given by court in 2013 then supreme Court restore verdict and allowed central government and medical council of India to implement the common entrance test. Responsiblity for Conducting neet is given to cbse. Anitha belongs to a marginalised community her father is doing work on daily wages. You can easily assimilate the Condition of that girl. She scored 1176 marks out of 1200 in her boards exam she want to be a doctor. But neet is way to get an admission for all medical undergraduate exam she gave neet exam and not able to crack neet cutoff only because of difference in syllabus how this way of common examination is justified for students. If the criteria of getting admission same as before neet was proposed she got admission in well and good institute. As per older statistics rural areas students will not able to compete with their urban area counterparts who have better access to Coaching institutions and other resources which are not affordable for who came from underprivileged households. Surprisingly, 10 lakh student took the cbse 12th class examination this year. And 8.98 lakh students took tamil nadu state board in tamil nadu state. In our country their exits 29 states lots of student feeling impartiality when giving neet exam. Absence of uniformity in syllabus throughout the country how cbse become gold standard. These type of national exams forced students to die. Neet type national exam centralised to urban section only because no uniformity in education system of urban and rural area. This creates an disruption in countries federal structure.
Way forward:-
If cbse be the gold standard throughout the country focus on improving rural area worsen situations. And centre government should take Consent of all the states before implementing national exam. Their must be Consideration of ground realities before making Any policy don't from aloft podium.

I am agreed to your point. Instead of setting standards, government should focus on the quality of education.
